For larger volumes of fat removal you will most likely have general anesthesia, and often light sedation. What we will be discussing here is post-liposuction pain.
Often your oain is dependent on how your body handles pain (your pain thereshold). There are several reasons for discomfort after liposuction - the main cause of which is the body's natural reaction to what is effectively an injury that has been inficted on the body. This results in bruising and swelling at the site of the liposuction procedure. This is a totally natural reaction to surgery andin most cases, cannot be avoided.
